OTHER WORKS

Umbradale is a land embroiled in chaos. The death of the benevolent High King Hornigold left a vacuum of power, and war has broken out as two nations seek to fill that vacuum with one of their own. The war-clans of Tyr, led by the brutal and powerful Ragnar are at battle against Oniken, the Daimyo of Kurai and his army of ninja and samurai.

The bloody conflict has already led to strife and political upheaval all throughout Umbradale, and the growing war threatens to destroy the homes and lives of many innocent people.

Deep within the forests of Viridia, the elven High Council, comprised of elders from multiple tribes, debate on what their position in the war shall be. The civil leaders and wealthy have all advocated neutrality, wanting to ignore the war from the comfort of their homes.

The military leaders have seen the effects of war, however, and have already seen damage done to the outskirts of the great forest. Torren Nightstorm, a decorated commander of a black ops unit known as the Verdant Shadows, is quite vocal about the need to protect not only his forests and his people, but all of the innocents who will be swept up in this war for power.

Meanwhile, an evil power is growing in the desert city of Khamsin. Twisted magics are being used to take advantage of the turbulence brought on by the war, and it’s been rumored that someone is trying to breach the barrier between this world, and a dark realm known of by only very few, called Ahlmist.

As the blood is spilled, and the body counts rise, tales of a “traveler from tomorrow” have begun to circulate among the scholars and political elite. Nobody knows if there is any truth to the stories, and with everybody’s minds on the violent bloodshed, there isn’t much time for rumors and tall tales.

One thing is for certain, the tides of fate are shifting, and Umbradale’s destiny hangs in the balance.
